Installation time depends on the type of anchor. A mechanical plug is fitted with a drill and a torque wrench and is ready in minutes; a chemical anchor needs time for the resin to cure, but distributes the load evenly along the hole.

Fixing Systems for Every Base Material

The base material determines which anchor to use: masonry, concrete, plasterboard and wood behave differently under mechanical stress and each calls for a dedicated solution.
In hollow brick, a standard plug can expand into the empty cavity inside and fail to grip. What's needed instead are chemical anchors with a mesh sleeve, or mechanical plugs designed specifically for hollow materials, different from those used on solid brick.
In plasterboard there is no material for a plug to expand into, so the fixing works differently. It calls for toggle anchors or self-drilling screws that open out behind the board, suited to light and medium loads.
